iPad projects that didn’t make it

Monday, 5 November 2012

Analyst Ross Rubin has a fascinating piece on Techcrunch about three iPad extensions that have failed to get anywhere near their funding goals on Kickstarter's crowd-finance site. For GoPad it is not the end of the road, he notes. The hands-free iPad device has switched over to Indiegogo, dropped its funding target. It is still nearly $40,000 short, though.

The Manatee stand for using the iPad in bed was due to sell for $280 plus postage, available for $179 for kickstarters. It got 43 backers and raised $7,413 in potential funding out of a required $17,900 before being dumped when the deadline passed.
